Children's Beds

When it comes to designing a child's bedroom, choosing the right bed is an important decision. Not only does it need to be comfortable and safe, but it should also be practical and fun for the child.  We have plenty of experience designing children’s bedrooms so here are some tips to keep in mind when selecting a children's bed:

Safety: The safety of a children's bed should always be the top priority. Look for beds that meet safety standards and have safety features such as guardrails to prevent falls. Consider the height of the bed as well, as it should be appropriate for the child's age and size. For example we would recommend a child using the top bunk to be 6 years +

Comfort: Children need a good night's sleep to stay healthy and grow properly. Make sure the bed you choose is comfortable and supportive, with a high-quality mattress and proper bedding. A bed with a headboard can also add extra comfort and support for reading or watching TV.

We supply a wide range of junior, single and double mattresses which are made from natural materials so they can be safe from toxins and harmful chemicals. Below is our Natural Mat Natural Teen mattress.

Size: The size of the bed will depend on the age and size of the child. For younger children, a twin or toddler bed is usually sufficient, while older children may require a double bed. It's important to choose a bed that is appropriate for the child's size and will provide enough space for them to sleep comfortably.

Style: Children's beds come in a variety of styles, from classic to modern. Consider the child's personality and interests when choosing a bed, as well as the overall style of the room. Some children may prefer a themed bed, while others may prefer a more understated style. If you have children that share a bedroom then choosing a bunk bed is a great idea. See our Fort Bunk bed below with storage steps:

Storage: Children's bedrooms can quickly become cluttered with toys and clothes. Look for beds that have built-in storage, such as drawers or shelves, to help keep the room organized and tidy. Our trundle beds and train beds are a good example of how you can incorporate storage and also an extra bed for sleepovers!

Fun: Finally, don't forget to choose a bed that is fun and playful for the child. A bunk bed, loft bed, or canopy bed can add an element of adventure and excitement to a child's room. We have an array of colours to choose from.

In conclusion, choosing the right children's bed is an important decision. Consider safety, comfort, size, style, storage, and fun when making your choice. With the right bed, your child can have a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable place to sleep and play.
